I am Meghan Butler.  I specialise in Medico Legal work and Paediatrics.

 

In the MEDICO-LEGAL division of the practice, I tend to clients of all ages (various diagnosis ranging from orthro to neuro) for the purpose of RAF/Personal Injury/Insurance claims.  I take pride in conducting accurate assessments and providing thorough and punctual reports.

I have a Masters of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy (specialising in Neurology with coursework providing me with in-depth knowledge regarding the brain and nervous system).   I completed the SAMLA Foundations in Medico-legal practice course and I am ErgoScience Certified.  ​

In the PAEDIATRIC division,  I tend to little ones ranging from 3 to 9 years old, with ADHD, Developmental Delays, Perceptual- and Scholastic or Emotional difficulties.

I am well equipped in the use of various  assessments, intervention techniques and equipment and I believe in a structured environment, with carrying over to the primary caregivers (parents and teachers) to promote better participation at school and at home.

I believe in holistic assessment and intervention, wherein all spheres of development and life are considered.  Furthermore, I practice from various frameworks, including the Developmental Frame of Reference, the Sensory Integration Frame of Reference, Play Therapy, The Neurological and Biomechanical Frame of Reference as well as the Client-centered Frame of Reference, amongst others.  ​
